Refer a Patient

Refer a patient for evaluation for deep brain stimulation, MRI-guided focused ultrasound, or a movement disorders second opinion.

Referrals are reviewed by a movement disorders neurologist and a functional neurosurgeon, and your patient is contacted directly by a coordinator. You will receive the evaluation findings and the treatment recommendation, and we co-manage long-term care with the referring clinician wherever that is preferred.

Referral does not commit your patient to a procedure. A substantial part of what this evaluation does is establish whether an advanced therapy is appropriate at all, and which symptoms would and would not respond.
