Sandra Ramos
Patient Care Coordinator — Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation
Sandra Ramos is a dedicated patient care coordinator within the RUSH Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Program, where she plays an important role in helping guide patients and families through the evaluation and treatment process. She graduated from St. Augustine College with a degree in Applied Science and is deeply passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered support throughout every stage of care.
Sandra works closely with patients, caregivers, physicians, advanced practice providers, and the broader neuromodulation team to help coordinate appointments, testing, treatment logistics, and communication across the program. She understands that navigating complex neurologic conditions and advanced therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound can often feel overwhelming, and she takes pride in helping simplify the process while ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and cared for along the way.
Patients and families frequently appreciate Sandra's approachable nature, calm presence, and willingness to help address concerns both large and small throughout their treatment journey. Her dedication to helping others creates a welcoming and supportive environment that reflects the highly coordinated and personalized philosophy of the RUSH movement disorders program.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys dancing, cooking out with family and friends, and watching great movies. Family remains an especially important part of her life, and she is particularly proud of her daughter, who will soon be entering law school. She is also grateful for the constant support of her mother and enjoys spending time with her White Siberian Husky, Nala.
Sandra also enjoys traveling and loves exploring destinations around the world whenever she has the opportunity.
Jackueline Medina
Neuroscience Program Coordinator — Focused Ultrasound and Neuromodulation
Jackueline Medina serves as the Neuroscience Program Coordinator within the RUSH Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Program and is often one of the very first team members patients meet when beginning evaluation for MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound treatment. She plays a central role in helping patients and families navigate what can initially feel like a complex process by providing guidance, coordination, education, and support throughout each stage of evaluation.
Jackueline works closely with Dr. Sani and the broader neuroscience team to help patients understand the treatment pathway, coordinate appointments and testing, answer questions, and determine whether patients meet the appropriate criteria to move forward with focused ultrasound treatment.
She has been part of the Department of Neurosurgery for more than 13 years, beginning her career as a Lead Medical Assistant before transitioning into her current role as Program Coordinator. Her years within the department have given her a unique understanding of both the patient experience and the behind-the-scenes coordination required to deliver highly specialized neurologic care.
One of the aspects of her work she enjoys most is seeing patients progress from the uncertainty of early evaluation to the excitement and confidence that can come with treatment and recovery.
